I love words.
As a child, I was a prolific writer with a vivid imagination. My aunt even gifted me with an electric typewriter for my 10th birthday. (Hey, this was cutting-edge technology in the early 1980s!) It was a blue and white Brother and had my full name engraved on a silver nameplate attached to the front. It was my pride and joy.
But have no fear: I now use a modern computer.
I’ve been blogging since 1998 and freelance writing since 2002. (See samples of my writing here.) In 2015, I expanded my services to include website copywriting and editing.
With over 20 years of experience in landscape architecture, I am an expert on topics such as landscape design, drought-tolerant planting, best irrigation practices, and construction materials and details. I am a California state licensed landscape architect and have a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Davis.
My passions include sustainability, architecture & design, travel, music, health & fitness, parenting, saving money, art, and city living… but I am naturally curious, a little obsessive, and love to learn and research just about anything.
I currently live in dreamy San Francisco with my two children.
